Jean Sievers
President
Jean Sievers is a veteran publicist, manager and producer who created an independent firm that uniquely specializes in working with both actors, musicians and music themed entertainment projects and documentaries. Her A-list client base includes almost 3 decades with music icon and Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson and legendary Academy Award® winning actor Jeff Bridges.
Jean began her career in the music industry doing public relations for both independent and major labels, including Rick Rubin’s American Recordings. There she worked an eclectic roster including Johnny Cash, Slayer, Nusrat Fate Ali Khan and also met her husband Todd. From American Recordings she moved to Irving Azoff’s Revolution/Giant Records, where she met Brian Wilson and changed the trajectory of her career. She left the label and went to the independent firm The Lippin Group where she spent 12 years as a Sr. Executive VP, spearheading campaigns from a diverse roster of talent including Prince, Mark Knopfler, Pat Benatar, Poison, Eric Clapton. It was there that she expanded her publicity expertise and began working on music documentaries including “The Mayor of the Sunset Strip,” “New York Doll” and “Who Is Harry Nilsson?” as well as representing actors Jeff Bridges, Bruce Greenwood and others. Eventually she was brought in on other music related films including “Ray.” It was at this time that she expanded into artist management with Wilson being her first client.
In 2010 she joined her husband’s successful radio promotion and marketing company CO5 Music and launched CO5 Media and Management. There she took a different approach to the business using her skills as a talent manager and publicist to cover a wider range services across all platforms.
After many awards campaigns, including Jeff Bridges’ first Oscar win for Best Actor in Leading Role for “Crazy Heart,” Jean wanted to focus more on theatrical themed music projects and on September 1st 2017 she rebranded her company and launched Beachwood Entertainment Collective. Over the years Jean realized that the music world and film world don’t really completely understand each other and found that she was a valuable voice who had been fully entrenched in projects in both worlds. She is an asset to major and independent film studios as well as music labels and artists who are beginning to do projects in television and film.
Over the last several years she has added producer to her resume starting with the critically acclaimed Brian Wilson documentary “Long Promised Road.” Since then she has several projects in the works including documentaries “Ki ho ‘alu—Loosen The Key – The Incredible Journey of Slack Key Guitar,” “Cows In The Pasture,” as well as a feature film “Paniolo” with her producing partner director Susan Kucera and executive producer Jeff Bridges. She just completed producing the TV Pilot “NOW WHAT?” that costarred her daughter Vivienne Sievers and actress Maralyn Facey and was executive produced by Susan Bridges.
Jean loves her job and still works with her husband at their offices in Beachwood Canyon where they enjoy raising their daughter Vivienne.
